Frequently asked questions

  • Not at all. Our pod is spacious - big enough for two people to float next to each other.

You have complete control over your environment. You can leave the pod door open and/or keep the interior soft LED lights on until you feel comfortable exploring total darkness and silence.

  • We provide everything you need including towels, robes, slippers, earplugs, body wash and shampoo.

You can bring your own hairbrush or comb.

The best is to float nude, but you may bring a swimsuit if you prefer. You will need to remove jewellery and contact lenses on site, to avoid irritation from salinity. We advise not to shave or wax at least 1 to 2 days before floating.

  • Hygiene is our highest priority.

Unlike most floating centres where they keep the water in the tank, at Zen Float we empty the entire volume of water after each session. The water is then cycled through a state-of-the-art filtration system four times, utilizing UV light, Ozone, and a 1-micron filter. This way you float always in top quality water. Only when the next session begins is the floating tank refilled — this way you are always guaranteed pure, hygienic, and clean magnesium water.

  • Yes. You can choose between an individual session, where you float alone, or a duo session, where you relax together with your partner, friend, or family member. You share the same floating tank and float next to each other.

  • We recommend eating a light snack or meal 1 hour before your session. We advise to avoid caffeine and stimulants at least 4h before your session.

  • Floating is in most cases suitable for everyone, but in the following situations we advise against it:

In case of large, unrecovered skin damage; In case of epilepsy or symptoms thereof; During the last weeks of pregnancy / right after childbirth; If you are bleeding / menstrual period; After the use of alcohol or drugs.

  • A standard float session lasts 60 minutes, but you can also choose a shorter session of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or a longer session of 90 minutes.

For the optimal effect, we recommend choosing a 60-minute session; for the treatment of skin conditions or for recovery of physical exertion, 30 minutes is also sufficient. A 90 minutes session is possible if you are an experienced floater.

  • Yes, floating can be safe and comfortable during pregnancy — up to about four weeks before the due date.

It helps to relieve back and pelvic discomfort and promotes deep relaxation. During floating, you optimally absorb magnesium through the skin, allowing both you and your baby to experience

complete rest. Magnesium also supports the healthy growth of the baby and helps reduce pregnancy-related complaints.

Please always consult your Doctor before booking!

  • The frequency of floating varies per person and the desired goal. For long-term benefits, we recommend floating regularly.

After four or five 60-minute floats, you will feel the optimal effect; relaxation goes deeper and occurs more quickly. The effect can be felt for up to a week or even longer (10 to 14 days).

  • Yes, you can change your floating session directly on the website after logging in to your personal page, up to 24h before your appointment.

Any modification within less than 24h prior to your appointment cannot be made, and there will be no refund.

It is only possible to change the date and time of your floating session, not to cancel.

  • There is an emergency button inside the tank. When clicked briefly, the lights turn on (for the rest of the session). If you push the button more than 2 seconds, the session is stopped and a member of the team will be warned.

  • This depends on their age:
    - Children aged 13 and over may float when accompanied by an adult during a duo float.
    - Children under the age of 13 are advised not to float.
    - From the age of 18, they may also float alone.

  • Yes, you can park in Zen Float’s private parking spot, right next to the entrance door.
